Performers
Emily Nebel originally from the United States, enjoys a varied career as concertmaster, recitalist and chamber musician. She has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra and Phoenix Symphony, amongst others, and has attended chamber music seminars and orchestral festivals throughout the world. After her studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Rice University in Houston, she moved to Frankfurt, where she obtained her second Master’s degree, established the Nebel-Pudinov Duo and regularly performed in the city’s Opera and Radio Symphony Orchestras. As concertmaster, Emily has been invited to guest lead the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, La Monnaie, Staatstheater Darmstadt, and Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.
Originating from Russia, Alexey Pudinov has made his home in Germany since 2006. He has completed a Konzertexamen degree at the HFMDK Frankfurt, the Royal College of Music’s Artist Diploma program, and has most recently achieved an “International Artist” Diploma from the RNCM in Manchester.
Alexey has received many awards, including the Steinway Award in Frankfurt and the 2015 Gershwin Prize in New York. He has performed in such venues as Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, the Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana, and Walter Hall in Toronto. Festival appearances include Leeds Lieder, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Kronberger Musiktage, Seligenstadter Klosterkonzerte, and Toronto Summer Music Festival. He is Artistic Director of A.D. Festival Days Manchester.
In 2014, Emily and Alexey formed the Nebel-Pudinov Duo and have since gained recognition for their unique sound and creative programming. They have received several awards and scholarships over the years, most notably the Alte Oper Rotary Club Scholarship and Live Music Now’s first Menuhin Prize, the latter of which resulting in an invitation to perform at the 100-Year Yehudi Menuhin Benefit Concert in Frankfurt. They give frequent performances throughout Germany and look forward to further engagements in Manchester and Berlin.
