Bella Cora was originally founded as a madrigal choir at Winchmore School in 1976. Recently celebrating its 40th anniversary, Bella Cora has become an established female vocal ensemble, performing a broad repertoire at concerts, charity and community events in and around north London. Recent collaborations include joint concerts with Grimsdyke Brass, the London medics Orchestra, Winchmore Strings and Meantime Chorus. Bella Cora reached the National Selection stage of Choir of the Year 2012, having been named a regional Choir of the Day.
Bella Cora’s musical director, Rosamond Savournin, is a choral conductor and arranger who has worked extensively with a variety of adult and youth choirs across a wide musical spectrum. In addition to her work with Bella Cora, she currently conducts Camden Youth Choirs, Camden New Voices and BEAT One Voice Choir.
