New Associate Vicar. Revd Catherine Duce is to join St Martin-in-the-Fields in October 2019 as Assistant Vicar for Partnership Development to further develop HeartEdge in London, while also leading on Nazareth Community partnerships more generally and supporting other key initiatives at St Martin’s. Her appointment has been made possible because St Martin’s has been designated as a resource church by the Diocese of London.

Great Sacred Choral Classics: Faith, Hope and Love – Hope/Monday 10 June, 6.30pm. Join St Martin’s Voices directed by Andrew Earis and led by Revd Dr Sam Wells in a free hour-long exploration of Hope, including Palestrina Sicut cervus and Rutter Look at the world. All are welcome. A retiring collection is taken to support the work of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
This Week/Bread for the World/Wednesday 12 June, 6.30pm. Bernárd Lynch, Roman Catholic priest, author and psychotherapist, renowned for his human rights work for more than 40 years with HIV and AIDS community and the LGBTIA community, will be reflecting on John 14: 1-3 and incarnational ministry. All are welcome.
Friends of St Martin’s Festival/Saturday 15 June. The Festival will be held in St Martin’s Hall, including AGM, Eucharist and lunch. The afternoon session from 2pm will include contribution from our Associate Vicar for Ministry, Revd Sally Hitchiner, and Katy Shaw on the Building Futures project. All are welcome to share in this exciting day in the life of St Martin’s.
Starting next Sunday/Calling all children with curious minds. Any children who wish to ask a question about God, faith or St Martin’s are welcome to write it on a piece of paper and indicate to our Pastoral Assistant, Francesco (via a steward if necessary) that they wish to ask it. We only have time for one question per week but they are very welcome to bring their question back another week if it is not answered. During the notices, the vicar will ask the child to come forward to read their question. They are welcome to bring a sibling, friend or parent for support. They will read their question to the church and Sam will attempt to answer it. Can you stump the vicar?

Discussion Group/Sunday 23 June. A new informal group led by Georgie, meeting from 12-1pm in the Tutu room to discuss faith, using today’s sermon as a starting point. Future dates are 21 July and 4 August- no need to come to all but dip in and out.

If you are new to St Martin’s over the past 12 months and would like to find out what we are about and have a chance to make some friends who are also new, you are very welcome to join a 4 week ‘Welcome Course’ run by the clergy from Sunday 23 June to 14 July between 12-1.30pm. Pride 2019. LGBT+ Christians and allies are invited to take part in our activities with Pride in London this year on 6 July. Morning Prayer 9am followed by a commissioning. LGBT+ members are invited to march with http://www.christiansatpride.com/ and allies are invited to support in activities from the sidelines. Sally and Richard are offering prayers and blessings for passers-by throughout the afternoon next to the church.
