‘No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who close to the Father’s heart, who has made him known.’ The birth of Jesus on earth shows the incarnation of God was in Christ.
God reveals himself in Christ to approach his people. In the Old Testament, God showed his love and mercy to his people by revealing himself through the miracle of the burning bush. In the New Testament, God revealed himself by the incarnation of his only Son Jesus Christ who set us a good example to follow. Christ becomes a mirror to reflect our inner side and tells us that he knows our darkness and he loves to support us. Christ our redeemer also stretches out his arms to welcome each of us.
Baby Jesus was laid down in a manger peacefully, the shepherds and the wise men were inspired to visit him who is the great light which shines in the darkness. May we come to the light and let it illuminate our hearts and reveal him in our communities.
No one has ever seen God. Thank God that at his baptism, Christ revealed God’s great love. Here we see his mercy and grace made manifest. May we each have an intimate relationship with Christ and follow him closely.
