The penultimate concert in the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London, and the first of two concerts at St Martin-in-the-Fields this evening, welcomes two of Cambridge’s fantastic Chapel Choirs, those of Churchill and Murray Edwards Colleges.
The finale of the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes the Charter Choir of Homerton College, Cambridge and conductor Daniel Trocmé-Latter for this performance of Mozart’s dramatic Requiem.
With a repertoire ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Stevie Wonder to Michael Jackson, The Fabulations are one of those rare bands who are equally at home performing jazz/swing classics from the 40s and 50s, soul and disco anthems, or recent chart hits.
Revd Dr Sam Wells explores the story and the meaning behind the music of our religious heritage, with St Martin’s Voices (directed by Andrew Earis).
The Trafalgar Sinfonia was founded by its musical director and inspiring British conductor Ivor Setterfield in 1992. Created originally to accompany both the New London Singers and the Codina Singers, it quickly developed a reputation as an outstanding ensemble in its own right.
