A two-act musical evening with two outstanding ensembles, UK based musicians led by Nigel Price and Czech trio Fragile Bliss.
Award-winning jazz guitarist Nigel Price (Best Jazz Ensemble in the 2010 and 2016 Parliamentary Jazz Awards) blends be-bop lines, a deep blues sensibility and masterful chording. Combining forces with pianist Gabriel Latchin and bassist Conor Chaplin, they will play classic, swinging jazz from the American songbook.
Following their successful debut at the 2017 Edinburgh International Jazz and Blues Festival the instrumental trio Fragile Bliss; Lubos Malina (banjo), Tomas Liska (double bass) and Michal Nejtek (piano) will feature ‘a new acoustic music’, dynamic and playfully original compositions inspired by jazz, bluegrass, contemporary classical and folk music.
