Join us for an enchanting lunchtime concert, as sarod maestro Abhishek Borkar, accompanied by tabla artist Harkiret Bahra, brings the timeless beauty of Indian classical music to life. This performance offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the evocative soundscapes of the sarod, an instrument known for its deep, resonant tones and soulful expression. 

Audiences can expect a captivating recital where melody and rhythm harmonise in an immersive exploration of raga (melodic structure) and tala (rhythmic cycle). Abhishek’s mastery over the sarod brings out the intricate nuances and emotive qualities of each raga, taking listeners on a meditative journey that resonates with both tranquillity and intensity. Harkiret’s tabla accompaniment adds rhythmic depth and dynamic interplay, making each moment of the performance alive with spontaneity and grace. This concert is curated by Darbar Arts Culture Heritage Trust, producers of the Darbar Festival.
