Pickle Night with The Salts
Wednesday 06 November 2024
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
“Pickle Night”, on 6th November, is the date when the news of victory at the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson, arrived in London.
To commemorate this year, acoustic-rock-folk band, The Salts will be performing in The Crypt under Trafalgar Square.
Expect a very big party with Sea Shanties and all your Salts favourites.
The Salts are one of the most exciting and energetic concept bands around, performing original material alongside their own interpretations of traditional songs.
The band features five seasoned musicians collectively performing a mixture of instruments as well as great harmonies, all guaranteed to get the crowd singing and dancing along. Last autumn, The Salts played along The Trafalgar Way, which marks the journey in 1805 of the Naval messenger from his ship HMS Pickle docked at Falmouth to the Admiralty in London. The news he carried was victory at the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson. Lieutenant Lapenotiere´s 271 mile route is marked with plaques along the Way.
The Salts played gigs along the route and this year they celebrate Pickle Day in a very special venue on Trafalgar Square.
Doors open from 7pm allowing you plenty of time to settle in, and enjoy some delicious food and drinks before the show starts at 8pm.
