Friday 07 February 2025
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
We open the Spring/Summer lunchtime season with an exploration of a diverse range of violin and piano repertoire, blending innovation with tradition. Enescu’s Ménétrier offers a charming and rustic portrait filled with rhythmic vitality and folk-inspired colours. His Violin Sonata No.3 delves deeper into Romanian folklore, combining haunting melodies and complex rhythms. The much-loved Saint-Saëns’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso is a thrilling feat of virtuosity.
