Is there Hope for the Holy Land? (in person)

Monday 31 March 2025

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Speaker: Daniel Munayer

Based in Jerusalem, Daniel serves as the Executive Director of Musalaha, an organization dedicated to teaching, facilitating, and training reconciliation, primarily between Israelis and Palestinians of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. Drawing on his Palestinian heritage, Daniel combines intellectual insight with practical skills to develop a decolonial and indigenous approach to reconciliation. His work emphasizes freedom for the oppressed and redemption for the oppressors, grounded in the humanization of all.

Daniel is a globally recognized speaker and made history as the first Palestinian to personally address both the UN Security Council in New York and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Before his tenure at Musalaha, he co-founded Lighthouse Relief on Lesvos Island, a humanitarian start-up addressing the refugee crisis in Greece. He also worked with the Danish Refugee Council and Nonviolent Peaceforce, responding to humanitarian crises in Greece and Iraq.

Daniel holds an MBA with Distinction from Durham University Business School in the UK. He also graduated with honours from the highly selective three-year Global Scholars Program at American University in Washington, D.C., where he focused on International Relations and Religious Studies.
