Funk and Soul Party with Bad Girls Groove

15 March | 3 May

A Funk and Soul celebration in The Crypt

Get ready for some big time favourites such as Superstition, Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Ain’t no Sunshine and more as Bad Girls Groove prove why they have a reputation as a great live band.

Bad Girls Groove
Over the last decade Bad Girls Groove (‘The Bads’) have built an enviable reputation for their high octane vocal and visual performances both in the UK (Hard Rock Cafe, Blues Kitchens, Pizza Express) and in Europe (Fete de la St Louis, Cork Guinness Jazz Festival).

The three ‘Bads’ upfront – Sophie, Leigh and Emily – have built a repertoire of funk and soul tunes that show off their vocal and dancing talents, perfect harmonies, and sheer joy at getting on down with appreciative audiences everywhere.

The collective musical experience of this crew is impressive with Trimmer, the band’s horn player, playing endless gigs in European clubs and bars with Ginger Baker. Constantly in motion is Alberto Manuzzi, the keyboard wizard from Italy and forming the engine room of the band is extraordinary drummer Jamie Murray (Gretsch and Zildjian Drums endorsee) and king of bass Trev Boxall, who have all but moved in together at Ronnie Scott’s.

The Bads, however, do not dwell on past glories and on Saturday 9th November, will be performing in The Crypt for the first time, bringing with them the groove, the whole groove and nothing but the groove.

Doors open from 7pm allowing you plenty of time to settle in, and enjoy some delicious food and drinks before the show starts at 8pm.
