Showing Care in Covid/As the virus is still a very real threat for many in our congregation, we are inviting everyone to continue to care for each other by wearing a mask indoors and following other social distancing measures. Rapid flow tests are available from the stewards in order to test ourselves before coming into church.

Morning Prayer/Monday 13 September will be online only due to an all-day event in church. You are welcome to join us in church on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Prayer Ministry Team training for new members or refresher training for experienced members is on Thursday 16 September 7pm on Zoom. If you’d like to know more about joining this important part of our Sunday worship speak to Revd Sally Hitchiner.

Autumn Lecture Series/September-November ‘After the ravages of the pandemic, it’s time for church and society to learn to dream again’, Revd Dr Sam Wells. Tickets for those wanting to attend in-person and who want to watch online are available from www.smitf.org/lectures. There is the chance both to buy a ticket which helps to make this programme possible, make a donation, or request a free ticket so this series can be open to all.

Liturgy-writing Workshop/12pm Sunday 19 September, Zoom Preparing for our 10th annual conference on Disability & Church, in partnership with Inclusive Church. (Still) Calling from the Edge is on Saturday 16 October 2021, with a special 10am Eucharist on Sunday 18 October. The Disability Advisory Group are writing parts of the Eucharist in an online workshop led by Sam Wells. All are welcome to join us. Save the Date 1-6 November! To coincide with the international conference on the environment, COP26, St Martin’s will be having a cross-site festival of events to inform and inspire us all about our part to play in engaging with the environment.

Fortnightly Children’s Church returns in the autumn when they will be meeting weekly on Sundays in the Ho Ming Wah Centre 12-12.45pm. For children aged 4-12. For more information email Sally.

New Sheppard Scholars Rose Lyddon is our new Sheppard Scholar for HeartEdge and Anna-Rose Harris is our new Sheppard Scholar for children, youth and communications and Ben Sheridan is continuing with us as our Sheppard Scholar working closely with Revd Richard Carter.
