New Being With Groups. Starting 25 January & 9 February. Are you exploring the Christian faith for the first time or in a while? Do you have a friend or a colleague who is? If so, Revd Dr Sam Wells and Revd Sally Hitchiner have developed a new course based around the theology at St Martin’s to help people who would like to begin or restart their journey of faith.

This course is open to those who are new to the idea of faith and those who have been members of our congregation for a long time, with an opportunity to be in a group journeying at a pace that suits you. Groups will be led by Jonathan and Wendy Quill, and Richard and Harry. Please speak to other congregation members who have done the recent groups or email sian.conway@smitf.org.

Welcome Course coming up in February, dates tbc. The Welcome Course is a great way to find out more about St Martin’s, how to join the electoral roll and how you can play your part in our community. Anyone is welcome, if you are not currently on the electoral roll and have been joining with us for worship over the past months or have a friend who would like to know more, please email sian.conway@smitf.org to register.

New online worship initiatives. St Martin’s is embracing the opportunities that we have in this time when we are all only gathering online to explore the potential for meaning and participation within that. We are starting a new initiative; inviting everyone to join with us in lighting a candle at the start of our worship to symbolise the presence of the Holy Spirit in each home, as well as in church. If you have other ideas of how we can facilitate our online worship, please contact Sally (sally.hitchiner@smitf.org). We hope this will be an opportunity for creativity as well as challenge.

Phone Prayer/Mondays, 3.30-4.15pm. Call Christian on 07846195972 or for more information please email christian.saguyan@smitf.org.

Faith Companions are groups of 3-4 congregation members who commit to making contact with each other once a week through the pandemic. If you are not in a faith companions group and would like to be contact sian.conway@smitf.org.

Next week there will be an extra newsletter, ‘the Neighbour’, the first from the Global Neighbours, JPIC and Eco Church group. Look out for the attachment in next week’s email.

Media and Wider Ministry
